The cyclos-HTP Institute (CHI) is the leading research and consulting institute specializing in assessing and optimizing the recyclability of packaging and products. Each year, we conduct in-depth analyses of approximately 2,000 packaging items and other products. The recyclability assessment is carried out in the form of expert reports by our publicly appointed and certified experts.

CHI combines engineering expertise with applied research. In addition to recyclability assessment, our focus lies in consulting projects, contract research, and in-house research initiatives addressing specific questions related to ecological product design and the evaluation of materials and formulations in this context.

Our consulting services focus on comprehensive measures and complete solutions for the implementation of the PPWR, including:

• Data management for the preparation of compliance declarations,
• Data processing using our software solutions,
• Portfolio analyses to identify necessary actions,
• The development of customized D4R guidelines, and
• Conducting training sessions and workshops.

The foundation of our work is the CHI Recyclability Standard, developed and published by the cyclos-HTP Institute.
